Davina Rooney, CEO of the Green

Ingenia’s achievement of GBCA’s
Green Star Homes Designed
certification raises the bar for
sustainable living.
“By committing to homes designed
to achieve net-zero emissions in
operations, Ingenia is meeting the
growing demand for housing that
is sustainable, healthy, and costeffective. This project shows how
Green Star can help Australians
retire into homes that are better for
their wallets, their wellbeing and the
planet.”
Ingenia is addressing the rising

by
integrating
sustainability features such as
solar power, high-performance
insulation, hot water heat pump, all
electric appliances, heat recovery
ventilation, and thermally efficient
windows.
The homes also surpass the
National Construction Code’s 2022
minimum 7-star energy efficiency
standard, achieving a 7.5-star
NatHERS rating.
Analysis by Kinesis* reveals that
these homes reduce grid energy
use by 22%, water use by 48% and
can save residents over $2000
annually in utility costs compared to
an original 30-year-old gas powered
home, making them an affordable
choice
for
environmentally
conscious buyers.

Beveridge, with plans to incorporate
the lessons from this project into
future developments. With a $2.5
billion portfolio spanning 30 land

seniors rentals, and holiday parks,
Ingenia is uniquely positioned to
influence the housing market’s shift
toward sustainable living.
“Our commitment to building the

the development process that will
generate a long-term benefit for our
business and reduce our emissions,”
said Mr Carfi.
