Celebrating
AUSTRALIA DAY
Long weekends are special times in caravan parks and Australia Day in particular, holds a
place in the hearts of many, with thousands of visitors returning every year to catch up
with friends and have fun.
Whether hosting special events
or just being a great place to relax
for a few days and celebrate the
country we call home, caravan
parks delivered in 2025. Thanks
to our member parks who shared
some Australia Day photos with us.
Anchor Belle Holiday Park hosted a
weekend of celebrations, including
a children’s market where 19 young
guests were able to sell their wares,
and visiting food vendor selling
Aussie hamburgers.
“Our front office Supervisor Kelli
came up with this great idea as kids
often want to do little stalls selling
lemonade, ice cream sundaes, etc,”
said park owner Amy James.
Young guests sold food and crafts
at Anchor Belle’s Kids Market.
“We had a table next to the office
that kids would use but it was
becoming a bit hectic so Kelli came
up with the idea of the Kids Market.
It was amazing, watching the kids
get prepared and the families all
getting involved.”
The perfect weather conditions
saw many guests spend time on the
water, including at Bushman’s Rest
Caravan Park, located on the banks
of Lake Cullulleraine in northern
Victoria.

The January long weekend was
another highlight for the year,
hosting a full park of guests, families
and friends who enjoyed amazing
weather, great coffee and good
food.
Another member park known for
its strong sense of community (and
fun) is Wakiti Creek Resort and
the park was full as people came
together to celebrate what is always
a fun long weekend.
