THE PARKIE NOTICEBOARD
CONNECTING MEMBERS ONLINE
CRPVic caravan park members and associate members now have a new
place to connect online.
The Parkie Noticeboard is a private Facebook group where Victoria’s tourist
and residential park owners, operators and industry suppliers can connect,
collaborate and stay informed.
Why you should join!
• Seek advice, share ideas and collaborate with park owners, operators and
managers in real-time
• Let others know about a product or service successfully introduced in your
caravan park
• Ask industry suppliers about products and solutions to help your business
thrive
• Keep up to date with the latest ‘need to know’ association information.
We recommend joining the group under your caravan park/business Facebook
page so your page moderators can easily keep a tab on The Parkie Noticeboard
activity.
We’re excited about this new communication platform and encourage all
caravan park and associate members to join now to be part of the conversation!

CALM AND CLEVER VIDEO
CALLS OUT BAD BEHAVIOUR
A video setting expectations of guest behaviour has resonated with caravan
park owners and holidaymakers alike.
In February, Queensland’s Cobb & Co. Camping Ground shared on their
Facebook page how recent bad behaviour by some guests had “strayed away
from the humble, respectful values that Cobb & Co. have laid down”.
With staff members speaking to screen, viewers learn that there has been a
shift in behaviour by a minority that was ruining the camping experience for the
majority.
Instead, potential guests wanting to “drink and party” are recommended to stay
elsewhere as drunken and disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
The video references park rules around behaviour and stresses that the focus on
a safe, respectful environment for guests and staff.
The Facebook post was a huge success for the park, with more than 2.7K likes,
250 comments overwhelmingly in favour of the post and 139 shares.
A park representative told The Parkie, they had been overwhelmed by the
positive response, with “100% of guests in favour and very supportive of our
stance”.
