The reality is, many of these regulatory hurdles simply
don’t make sense – they stifle growth, add unnecessary
costs and limit opportunities for operators. From day
one, I’ve been committed to chipping away at these
roadblocks and I’m confident we’ll have some positive
updates to share soon.
What other challenges can we tackle,
and how?
One of the biggest challenges is that our industry’s
impact is often overlooked. When people think of tourist
parks, they don’t always realise just how essential they are
to regional communities by driving economic growth,
supporting local jobs and keeping small towns thriving.
I want to help change that narrative. We have a fantastic
story to tell, and it’s time we told it louder. That means
showcasing the value of our industry to government,
media and the public and making sure our parks are seen
as a key part of sucessful regional tourism.

Take our insurance survey now
We know from our 2024 Member Services Survey results that securing
and maintaining property and public liability insurance remain significant
challenges.
Despite previous unsuccessful attempts to get the Victorian Government to request the Victorian Managed
Insurance Authority (VMIA) to consider providing cover for quality risks, the association is not giving up on this
issue.
To represent our members as best we can, we need an updated view of how insurance difficulties are affecting
your business.

identify the risk of members operating uninsured or sub-optimally insured.
The more responses we get, the stronger our advocacy position is, so
please take the short amount of time needed to complete the survey.
The insights gathered will play a crucial role shaping our advocacy
platform, informing government and the opposition on current insurance
challenges and providing aggregated insights to the insurance industry
to help them better understand current risk profiles of our tourist and
residential parks.
