CAMP FOR A CAUSE at Park Lane
On Saturday 30 August, Park Lane Holiday Parks is
inviting people to come together under the stars for
One Night Outside – Camp for a Cause, raising funds and
awareness for Flying Fox, a not-for-profit organisation
that creates life-changing experiences for young people
with disabilities.
Furthering their support of the organisation beyond
offering to host getaways, One Night Outside will
fundraise in support of Flying Fox services, with:
The company’s partnership started when Park Lane
was approached by Flying Fox late last year to host two
getaways at their Bendigo and Yarra Valley caravan parks.
from every booking made for the night of Saturday 30
August donated directly to Flying Fox.
“We had been tossing around the idea of increasing
our charitable activities for a while and this felt like the
perfect partnership,” said Park Lane Group General
Manager Josh Hellings.
“Our respective organisations have such a shared set of
values and the wide spread of our parks across Victoria
gives Flying Fox the chance to expand their service and
allows them to give more and more opportunities to
young people with disability.”
HOLIDAY PARKS
A strength shown by so many of our caravan park members is their compassion and
community care – from local fundraisers to national events and everything in between,
caravan parks (and their guests) can regularly be found supporting a cause.
• 50% of powered and unpowered site fees, and
• 10% of all cabin and glamping bookings
Across all Park Lane’s holiday park locations there will
also be fun and family-friendly activities like kids’ games,
hot chocolate stations and fundraising BBQs to bring
everyone together — all in the name of supporting this
wonderful cause.

CAMP QUALITY FAMILY GETAWAYS
brings light and connection
to families facing cancer
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, life becomes a whirlwind of hospital stays,
emotional strain, and constant demands. Amid the chaos, one essential need is often
overlooked — time together.
Camp Quality’s Family Getaway program offers families
impacted by cancer the opportunity to take a break from
hospitals, treatment and trauma, and reconnect in a
safe, supportive environment. These free getaways are
designed to give families the space to rest, recharge and
create special memories together.
In Victoria, Camp Quality hosts Family Getaways
with incredible support from Surfside Holiday Park
Warrnambool and NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront
Holiday Park. Everything is taken care of, including fuel
vouchers, passes to local activities and groceries up to
around $1500.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, family life is
turned upside down. Often, one parent becomes the
main carer for the diagnosed child, organising medical
appointments, filling prescriptions, and being at the
hospital with the child for stays that can stretch into
weeks or months at a time.
Siblings, too, carry tremendous burdens. They have
to grow up quickly and adjust to having less attention
on them, while managing the trauma of their beloved
brother or sister being seriously ill.
Meanwhile, the other parent has to somehow keep going
to work, attend to household duties, and do all that’s
required to maintain some semblance of normality for
the other kids.
Amid the panic and busyness, time away together as a
family, to reconnect, and support each other can be life
changing.
